NHH-UT’s December Member Event!

Don't miss Nature and Human Health Utah's final 2023 membership event on December 7th from 6-7:30pm!

It's easy to get into a routine of staying inside and relaxing during the dark and cold winter months, but we challenge you to get outside, connect to nature, and support your health and well-being.

Join us for an evening in Red Butte Canyon with Kate Magargal, anthropologists and professor in the University of Utah's Dark Sky Studies Minor program. Kate also teaches around the topic of human health and nature in the dark skies classroom.

REI Funding

The REI Cooperative Action Fund is excited to announce two new funding opportunities to support the growing research field of nature and human health!

RFP Overview:

Up to $1,800,000 will be awarded through “Advancing Nature and Health Research Evidence” awards.

Up to $200,000 will be awarded for “Graduate Student Nature and Health” awards.

Award winners will have their research projects amplified to a national nature and health research audience. An important note, current grantees of REI Cooperative Action Fund are ineligible for this RFP. This RFP is intended to broaden support for the field.

CNISP Nationwide Assessment

The Collective for Nature Immersion Science and Practice (cNISP), is a research group through Colorado State University, and their goal is to support practitioners and researchers in the field of nature, health, and well-being.

The cNISP research group is curious about the needs of organizations working to encourage folks to get outside to improve various aspects of their well-being. Your knowledge and experience matter to them and they would love to hear what you have to say!
