Join Nature and Human Health Utah for a guided forest bathing session with Ian Napper—educator, yoga teacher, and mindful outdoor guide—on Monday, June 9 from 5:00–6:30 PM at Miller Bird Refuge. This calming practice of mindful nature immersion supports mental and physical well-being. The group will meet at the middle entrance on Bonneview Drive across from the LDS Church. Six spots are remaining so be sure to sign up soon! |

Save the date for the 3rd Annual Nature and Health Conference, taking place Thursday, October 9 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Conservation Garden Park. This year’s event will feature keynote speaker José González, Founder of Latino Outdoors, along with presentations from pilot grant recipients, networking opportunities, food, and a guided nature walk. A recent systematic review of 17 studies highlights that nature-based walking interventions can significantly reduce anxiety, stress, and rumination while boosting optimistic emotions in adults. These findings support nature-based walking as a low-cost, preventative public health strategy to improve mental well-being.

Hosted by the Natural History Museum of Utah, this free day-long summit empowers teens (ages 12–18) to take climate action through hands-on workshops, group activities, and community building. Lunch and snacks included! Summer Solstice Volunteer & Beer
Celebrate the longest day of the year with Swaner Preserve by removing invasive weeds to support wetland health—then unwind with a cold beer. This is a 21+ event with great vibes for a good cause.
