Community Updates

Wine Among the Willows

Enjoy an afternoon of sustainable wine tasting at Wine Among the Willows on Saturday, August 2 from 3–6 p.m. at Swaner EcoCenter. This 21+ event features eco-friendly wines, hors d'oeuvres, and guided tastings in a beautiful nature setting. Tickets include samples, a souvenir glass, and more.

Forest Bathing at Red Butte

Reconnect with nature through a guided Forest Bathing experience at Red Butte Garden, led by certified guide Chris Newton. This immersive walk encourages mindfulness, stress relief, and a deeper relationship with the natural world. Open to all ages and abilities.

Location: Red Butte Garden Natural Area
Dates: June 25, June 29, July 9, July 13, July 20
Cost: $25 for Garden Members / $30 for General Public

Community Picnic

On August 5 at 6 PM, head to East Riverfront Park in South Jordan for a community picnic hosted by the Center for Nature Informed Therapy. Enjoy grilled fare, build connections, and hear Dr. Heidi Schreiber-Pan share stories from her work supporting Ukrainian communities through nature-based mental health practices. All proceeds support scholarships for nature-informed programming.

June Community Events

There are so many amazing nature-based events happening in July, but here are a few that we’re especially looking forward to:

Guided Forest Bathing Walk
Start the month with a peaceful, mindfulness-based walk led by Suni-ai Forest Bathing on July 5. This session invites participants to slow down, tune into their senses, and immerse themselves in nature. Ages 16 and up, registration required.

Wasatch Wildflower Festival – Solitude Mountain Resort
On July 13, take in the stunning wildflowers of the Wasatch Mountains with family-friendly guided walks, kids’ crafts, music, and more. This annual celebration at Solitude is free, educational, and open to all ages.

Teatime at Tracy Aviary – Sweet Sunrise
Spend a cozy summer morning at the Historic Chase Mill on July 26 with local teas and pastries. This monthly family-friendly gathering is a relaxing way to enjoy the beauty of Tracy Aviary. Tickets required.
